Is mailrust a mail server?
No. It is the client and everything around it. It connects to the mailboxes you already have over IMAP and SMTP, including Gmail and Microsoft 365.
Where is my data?
On your server. mailrust keeps its index, contacts and settings in one SQLite file next to the binary.
Which AI agents work with it?
Any MCP client: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or your own. Web apps sign in with OAuth, the rest use an agent key.
What does it run on?
Any Linux server on x86_64, from a small VPS up. Put it behind your own proxy or let it handle HTTPS itself.
What happens when a license ends?
Mail keeps working. Outreach, newsletters and the other paid modules pause until you renew.
