The assistant writes and fixes emails, sums up long threads, translates and finds emails by a question in plain words. It works with an AI service you choose and your own key.
Connect it
Under Settings → Assistant, pick a service, paste its API key and choose a model:
| Service | |
|---|---|
| Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq, OpenRouter | With your key from the service |
| Your own service | Anything that speaks the OpenAI API: a local model, a company gateway; give its address |
mailrust checks the key with a test request before it saves it, stores it encrypted and never shows it again. An administrator can also hand out keys with mailrust assist.

What goes to the service
Only what the action needs: the email you summarise or reply to, or your own text. When it reworks your text, the original email is not sent; your signature and quoted replies never are.
