Conversations
An email opens with its whole conversation. Messages you already read are folded, long middles collapse into a stack, and the newest is open. Replies are matched to their conversation however late or out of order they arrive.
Reply right under the message: the reply box opens in place, with the cursor in the text.
Images and links
Remote images stay blocked until you choose to show them, so senders do not learn when you open their email. Every email is shown in a sandbox where scripts never run.
Attachments
Files are listed under the email; images can be viewed in place. Dangerous files are marked before you save them: a program, disguised for a program pretending to be a document, and locked archive for an archive with a password. See Attachments and antivirus.
Reactions
React to an email with an emoji, the way Gmail does: the sender sees your reaction in Gmail, and reactions others send you show under their email.
More on an email
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Unsubscribe | Leaves a newsletter in one click when the sender allows it |
| Block sender | Sends their mail straight to spam from now on; lift the block under Settings → Rules |
| A clean printable view | |
| View source | The message exactly as it arrived, with headers |
| Add to tasks | Turns the email into a task, see Tasks |
Encrypted email
mailrust reads and writes OpenPGP. Create your key or add your correspondents' public keys under Settings → Encryption. An encrypted email you have the key for opens decrypted and says so; signatures are checked against the keys you know.
