Audit log
Admin → Audit log records who did what, when and from which address: sign-ins and failed sign-ins, mailbox access, people, keys and webhooks, erased mail, campaigns and newsletters sent, settings of the installation, and everything AI agents do. Entries cannot be edited.
Filter by person, by kind of action or by a word (an address, a name or an IP address), and press Export as a table to download what you see as a CSV file.
Actions done by mailrust itself, such as erasing mail by a retention term, are recorded under the name mailrust.
Retention
Admin → Retention sets what mailrust erases by itself:
| Term | What it erases |
|---|---|
| Trash, days | Emails in the trash longer than this, in every mailbox of the installation, here and on the mail server |
| Spam, days | The same for spam |
| Audit log, days | Entries of the audit log older than this |
Zero means never, and it is the default: until an administrator sets a term, nothing is erased. The term for trash and spam counts from the day an email got there. Saving a shorter term asks for confirmation, because the erased mail cannot be brought back.
