Deliverability checks every domain you send from, the way receiving servers see it, and says what to fix.
What it checks
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| MX | Without it the domain does not accept mail, and replies never arrive |
| SPF | Tells receivers which servers may send for the domain; a record without -all or ~all forbids nothing |
| DKIM | Signs your mail; without a signature it cannot be told from a forgery, and big services cut it off |
| DMARC | Tells receivers what to do with mail that fails SPF and DKIM. Gmail and Yahoo require it from anyone who sends in volume. p=none means "do nothing": move to quarantine once the reports show your own mail passing |
| PTR | The reverse record of the sending server's address. Without it, or when it names a host that does not point back, big services refuse or distrust the mail. It is set at your hosting provider |
| Blocklists | Whether the server address or the domain is listed. A listed one links to where removal is requested |
Each domain shows its issues in plain words. Check now re-checks it.
Spamhaus
Spamhaus answers only with a key from its Data Query Service. An administrator adds the DQS key under Deliverability; without it, Spamhaus lists are not checked.
What it does not change
mailrust does not touch your DNS. It tells you which record to add or change at your DNS provider, and checks again.
